TeraView Expands Asian Operations with Axbis Partnership in Korean EV Battery Market
TeraView, the pioneer and leader in terahertz technology and solutions, is pleased to announce that Axbis as a strategic partner with the Company to explore opportunities in the Korean electric vehicle (EV) battery manufacturing market, further enhancing TeraView’s presence in Asia’s rapidly growing advanced manufacturing sector. The EV battery market has been experiencing unprecedented growth, driven by the global transition to electric vehicles and Korea’s position as a leading battery manufacturing hub.
Globally, major EV battery manufacturers have been recognising the critical importance of advanced inspection technologies in ensuring battery quality, safety, and performance. TeraView’s terahertz technology offers unique capabilities for non-destructive testing of battery components and assemblies. These manufacturers and their supply chains operate throughout Asia, with Korea representing one of the world’s largest battery production centres.
This strategic partnership with Axbis is therefore key to TeraView’s Asian expansion strategy and is accompanied by a strategic investment by Axbis in TeraView. Alongside this strategic partnerhship, TeraView continues to have success in the region, including a recent sale of a TeraCota system to an EV battery customer Taiwan, demonstrating growing market acceptance of the technology. Axbis has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with TeraView, providing a structured framework for collaboration and market development activities, enabling both companies to leverage their respective expertise to deliver advanced inspection solutions to Korean EV battery manufacturers and maximise market penetration in this high-growth sector.
